Job summary

PSCFL seeks a Trauma Program Director to lead the trauma services in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership. This full-time role ensures optimal patient care, quality outcomes, and compliance with standards for trauma center designation and verification.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license or Recognized Compact Licensure, a Bachelor's in Nursing (Master's preferred), and active BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida licensing requirements)
• Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of employment start date
• TNCC required within 6 months of start date
• Trauma Certification (TCRN/CEN/CCRN) preferred
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing in inpatient critical care/trauma ICU
• Background in trauma system management essential

Job description

The Trauma Program Director is a full-time position who works in concert with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes, and compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation and verification

Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Master's degree preferred
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Possession of a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate is preferred
Three years of professional nursing experience in an inpatient critical care or trauma nursing area or trauma intensive care unit
Background in trauma system management essential
