Job Summary
RN Director, Trauma Program at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital. The Director works with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to ensure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes, and compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation and verification. This full‑time position is incentive eligible.
Responsibilities
The Trauma Program Director:
- Works in concert with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services.
- Ensures quality outcomes and compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation and verification.
- Oversees operations of the trauma program and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse (RN) or recognized compact licensure.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, or Trauma Nursing Core Course, obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Certified Trauma Room Nursing (CEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred.
- Three years of professional nursing experience in inpatient critical care or trauma nursing area, or trauma intensive care unit.
- Background in trauma system management essential.
