Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is seeking an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator to lead the trauma program’s work ensuring safe, high-quality care from arrival to discharge. You will partner with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to review cases, analyze performance, and implement data-driven changes aligned with ACS and state standards.

You will coordinate PI events, document registry information, and present findings at multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 3 years experience in trauma or PI roles
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date
• BCLS within 30 days of start date
• PALS within 6 months of start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date

Responsibilities

• Review trauma cases in real time and retrospectively to assess quality and adherence to ACS/state standards
• Identify and validate performance-improvement opportunities and drive closed-loop improvements
• Coordinate and document Trauma PI activities, PI events, data elements, and registry information
• Prepare and present cases, trends, and quality findings for PI, peer review, and trauma operations meetings
• Educate clinical teams and EMS agencies on trauma PI principles and best practices
• Collaborate on guideline development, research initiatives, verification preparation, and improvements across the trauma service line
