Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare; or comparable clinical education/experience.
  • 3+ years in Trauma Level 1/2 surgical ICU care.
  • Experience in trauma program operations or trauma registry.
  • Thorough knowledge of QI standards, chart review, abstraction, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of QI models, data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in public speaking and in verbal/written communications.

Responsibilities

  • Support Trauma Program Manager for PI/Peer Review activities.
  • Ensure performance improvement in line with San Diego Trauma System and ACS-CT verification.
  • Coordinate PI process, PI plans, and use trauma registry data for monitoring and reporting.
  • Review adverse events, identify trends, and plan practice changes with TPM.
  • Collaborate with Trauma Registrars to identify PI issues.
