Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator to identify, verify and investigate trauma patient events. The role leads performance improvement and quality assurance from pre-hospital care through discharge, using Lean/Six Sigma and other methodologies.

You will prepare reports, educate teams, and drive spread of improvements across the hospital. Under supervision from the Trauma Program Manager/Director, you will develop action plans and ensure loop closures,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare-related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of clinical experience with two years in project management, process improvement or risk management; Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
  • Emergency Department or Trauma/Surgical Critical Care preferred.
  • Experience with clinical quality and patient safety principles; ability to apply concepts.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement (TOPIC) preferred; certification may be required.

  • Identify, verify and investigate complications and events involving trauma patients.
  • Lead performance improvement and quality assurance activities from pre-hospital to discharge.
  • Prepare reports, provide education to team members, and spread successful innovations hospital-wide.
