Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Acute Care NP or PA to join its Trauma Service. This full-time role supports a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, collaborating with a high-performing team including 5 trauma surgeons and 7 APPs, and EMS partners in the surrounding region.

The position emphasizes triage and disposition of trauma patients from ER and floor, with no ICU responsibilities, and requires Virginia licensure plus an unrestricted DEA license.

Qualifications

• Virginia-licensed Acute Care NP or PA with unrestricted DEA license.
• Current licensure at start of employment.
• Ability to work effectively within a trauma team and hospital EMS network.

Responsibilities

• Disposition trauma patients from ER and floor.
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons and APPs; no ICU duties.
