Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Acute Care NP or PA to join its Trauma Service. This part-time role (20 hours/week) involves a high-performing team with 5 trauma surgeons and 7 APPs, and no ICU responsibilities.

Requirements include Virginia-licensed Acute Care NP or PA and an unrestricted DEA license. Competitive base pay plus incentives and extensive benefits are offered in a non-profit hospital system.

Qualifications

• Virginia-licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
• Unrestricted DEA license required.
• Ability to provide quality, compassionate care with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Join trauma team of surgeons and APPs to disposition trauma patients.
• Discharge/ disposition trauma patients from ER and floor.
• No ICU responsibilities.
• Work 20 hours per week with some weekends on a rotational basis.
