Job summary

UC Irvine seeks a Nurse Practitioner I in the Department of Surgery to manage and coordinate inpatient care across general surgery and surgical ICU services. The NP will participate in daily sign-outs, follow up with teams, and assist in trauma resuscitations and surgical consultations.

Requires NP program completion and CA licenses with board certification. Under supervision of Trauma, Burns, and Critical Care leadership, the NP provides comprehensive ambulatory and inpatient care coordination

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Active California RN license.
• Active California NP license.

Responsibilities

• Assess health needs and coordinate care for general surgery and ICU patients.
• Inpatient sign-out at shift start/end; follow up with surgical teams.
• Schedule operations and interventional procedures; obtain consults as needed.
