Job description

Surgical Affiliates Management Group in partnership with Los Robles Regional Medical Center, is seeking an experienced Trauma Medical Director to lead an established Level II Trauma Center in one of Southern California’s most desirable communities.

Combining meaningful physician leadership with continued clinical practice while helping shape the future of trauma and acute care surgery across the region.


The Position

The Trauma Medical Director will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the trauma program while working closely with hospital administration, nursing leadership, emergency medicine, surgical specialists, and the broader SAMGI team.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Leading trauma program strategy, quality, safety, and performance improvement

  • Supporting continued ACS standards and regulatory readiness

  • Partnering with hospital and medical staff leadership

  • Promoting physician engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration

  • Maintaining an activetrauma and acute care surgery practice

  • Helping guide future program growth and development

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will be board certified in General Surgery with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care and demonstrated experience in trauma and acute care surgery. Prior trauma leadership experience is strongly preferred.
