SAMGI is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Trauma Surgeon to provide trauma and acute surgical coverage at JFK Memorial Hospital. This role is part of SAMGI’s surgical hospitalist / trauma program, delivering consistent, high-quality trauma coverage through a shift-based model.
This opportunity offers predictable scheduling, competitive per-shift compensation, and the support of an established national surgical organization.
Compensation: $3,000 per shift
Annual Commitment: 104 shifts per year
Shift-based schedule with defined coverage expectations
Employed or independent contractor arrangement through SAMGI (structure dependent on final agreement)
Malpractice coverage provided in accordance with SAMGI policy
Administrative, scheduling, and operational support provided by SAMGI
