Job summary

Communities In Schools of San Antonio seeks a Life Coach to coordinate social services at the Nxt-Level Center for opportunity youth facing barriers to education and careers. The role uses ACEs and Trauma-Informed approaches to wrap around support.

Responsibilities include intake, ISP creation, trauma-informed services, and connection to community resources, with travel and local site coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in related field.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of client groups and/or issues related to the program area.
• Proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet.
• Experience with at-risk populations and cross-cultural environments.
• Ability to articulate program goals in a public setting.
• Experience working with youth and families.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in social work or related field and 3 years’ work experience.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake and assessment for each opportunity youth using ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) tools.
• Create and implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) to guide services.
• Develop trauma-informed services addressing assessed needs.
• Connect youth to community resources and provide follow-up.
• Ensure adherence to contractual and grant provisions and budgetary requirements.
• Manage grants reporting and program information.
• Maintain program quality and required reports.
• Coordinate transitions to CIS Site Coordinator or School Liaison.
