Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in Brooklyn seeks a Community Success Coach to support 14-18 year-olds in NSP aftercare. You will provide intensive home and community-based coaching to youth and families, focusing on successful transition, goal setting, and positive coping strategies.

The role requires evenings and weekends, strong communication, and the ability to navigate ACS partnerships and school systems. A driver’s license and transit access are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with court-involved young adults.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong familiarity with Brooklyn communities.
• Ability to use public transportation for site visits.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as coach and support for 5-6 young adults aged 14-18 on ACS custody post-placement.
• Work with youth while in placement.
• Provide intensive in-home supports to youth and families.
• Assist youth in developing healthy communication and coping skills.
• Help youth set goals and reflect on decision-making processes.
• Track school attendance and required engagements; escort to meetings as needed.
• Refer families to community resources and participate in on-call rotations.
