Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies seeks a Youth Stabilization Specialist to provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support to youth in a structured, healing-centered setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster emotional, behavioral, and social growth within a safe environment.

The role encompasses crisis navigation, life-skills facilitation, and on-call crisis support, with a focus on respect and equitable treatment for all youth and families served.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's +1 year, or Associate +2 years, or High school +3 years with applicable experience in youth care or related social services.
• Be part of rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time.
• Bilingual preferred.
• At least 21 years old.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting, and any licensure requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth per STRTP licensing and agency standards.
• Implement daily routines, behavioral strategies, and activities aligned with treatment plans.
• Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation to manage distress or conflict.
• Intervene in crises following policies to ensure safety.
• Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings.
