Job summary

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres in Bloomington, MN seeks an energetic Youth Counselor to support youth in crisis settings. You will implement interventions from therapeutic support plans, assist with daily tasks, meals, and community activities while ensuring safety and boundaries.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years or older.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with youth in a residential, shelter or crisis program.
• Pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status.
• Meet the company’s physical job demands.
• Valid driver’s license and state-required insurance if using your own vehicle.
• Complete TCI training with 70%+ within 2 months of employment.
• Complete Medication Administration training with 80%+.
• Demonstrates mastery of basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client daily activities and manage behavior according to plan.
• Approach interactions with trauma-informed care.
• Maintain open communication and support a healthy work environment.
• Attend team and client meetings.
• Lead and teach DBT groups on shift to youth.
• Provide meals, hygiene support, and community outings as needed.
• Document on shift and ensure safety and boundaries.
