Job summary

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres is seeking a Lead Youth Counselor to support youth experiencing mental health crises in community settings. You will implement interventions, supervise day-to-day activities, and mentor staff while ensuring policy compliance.

The role includes leading shift operations, coordinating with the Program Supervisor, and participating in community activities with clients, all while maintaining safety and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must pass Department of Human Services background check.
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training with a score of 70% or greater within two months of employment.
• Medication Administration training with a score of 80% or greater.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client daily activities and manage behavior according to the client’s plan.
• Lead trauma-informed care interactions with clients and staff.
• Mentor coworkers and model best practices on shift.
• Attend team and client meetings and document on shift.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily housekeeping and supplies.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

3 years of experience with youth in a residential, shelter or crisis programs
