The role runs 10 AM - 6 PM. The position requires a bachelor’s in social work or related field, at least two years of youth experience, and a strong knowledge of community resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum two years of experience working with youth or young adults.
  • Experience with LGBTQ youth, youth of color, and youth with mental health diagnoses is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, housing pathways, and social services navigation.
  • Understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and positive youth development.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach and engagement with youth.
  • Complete intake assessments and develop individualized case plans with youth.
  • Provide harm reduction counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing case management.
  • Facilitate referrals to housing, healthcare, mental health, legal, education, and employment services.
  • Assist youth in scheduling and attending appointments; accompany as needed.
  • Deliver life skills workshops, socio-cultural activities, and educational sessions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate case records using HMIS and internal databases.
  • Collaborate with Drop-In Center staff to provide concrete supports (e.g., meals, showers, hygiene supplies, computer lab access).
  • Participate in team meetings, consultation with clinicians, case managers, and other staff.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of services in client case records.
  • Participate in staff training, community outreach, and events, ensuring required trainings are completed annually.
  • Provide crisis intervention and on-site counseling as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
