Children's Attention Home seeks a Youth Care Specialist to provide direct supervision and nurturing care for residents ages 13–20 in a residential setting. The role emphasizes trauma‑informed practices, restorative approaches, and hands‑on support for daily living and treatment goals.

The position offers full‑time, part‑time, and PRN opportunities. A driver’s license is required, and candidates should be prepared for nonstandard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience with children or youth in any setting required.
• Valid driver's license required and must be maintained.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to complete trainings (including CARE and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care for residents during daily routines and activities.
• Support youth with independent living skills, coping strategies, and treatment goals.
• Create, lead, and participate in age‑appropriate therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities.
• Accompany and supervise residents during appointments, outings, and community activities.
• Monitor behavior, provide guidance and support, and assist with behavior modification plans.
• Complete required documentation, including shift notes, logs, reports, and bed checks.
• Respond to and help de‑escalate crisis situations using trauma‑informed techniques.
• Assist with daily household duties, including meals, cleaning, laundry, and safety maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and safety requirements.
