Job summary

Everstand in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a Youth Care Professional (YCP) to provide direct care and supervision for youth within a trauma-informed residential setting. You will collaborate with clinical, education, and medical teams to foster a safe, structured environment that supports healing and life-skill development.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships, crisis prevention, documentation, and transporting youth to appointments.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or AA.
At least 1 year of employment experience working with children/youth.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth.
Build positive, professional, and youth-guided relationships.
Support daily routines, hygiene, meals, activities, education, and life skills.
Promote a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment.
Use trained crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques when needed.
Support behavioral and treatment plans developed by the clinical team.
Participate in individual and group activities that build communication, social, and life skills.
Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
Transport youth to appointments and activities when needed.
