Job summary

Horizon Recovery seeks a Behavioral Health Coach to engage adolescents and support their emotional regulation within a structured residential setting. You will collaborate with the clinical team to reinforce treatment goals through daily interactions and recovery-focused coaching.

Responsibilities include group support, crisis prevention, documentation in the EMR, and participation in shift handoffs while maintaining HIPAA standards and facility safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of prior experience in behavioral health, youth services, education, or counseling preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of experience working with adolescents or willingness to complete training.
• Current Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or eligibility to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (if transport duties are assigned).
• CPR / First Aid certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage with adolescents using trauma-informed approaches and coaching.
• Support emotional regulation and apply coping-skill reinforcement.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to align treatment goals with daily activities.
• Document observations and participate in shift huddles and meetings.
