Job summary

Lompoc Unified School District seeks a Wellness Coach II to support PreK-12 students with behavioral health and wellbeing. The role focuses on prevention, early intervention, and coordinating care within a school-based setting.

Responsibilities include delivering group and individual wellness sessions, tracking progress, and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to promote resilience and social-emotional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, Psychology or a BA with significant field hours.
• 800 verifiable hours in last six years providing behavioral health services to youth in school settings OR 2,700 hours in last six years.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate developmentally appropriate wellness lessons using evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary communication among educators, counselors and mental health professionals to support student wellness.
• Actively participate in SST/IEP meetings to provide wellness insights and support.
