Pace Center for Girls is dedicated to transforming girls’ lives through academic and counseling programs grounded in a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma-informed framework. The Therapist role delivers prevention, diversion, and early intervention services to girls aged 11–17 in community settings.

The position emphasizes resiliency-building, risk-reduction, family engagement, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions in multiple settings to support healthy future outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• License as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker, or eligibility as a registered intern.
• Minimum three to five years’ experience with at‑risk youth is preferred.
• Current driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of laws relating to youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Increase girls’ resiliency by building protective factors at individual, family and community levels.
• Provide weekly therapy services to girls in schools, homes, community centers or other settings.
• Deliver family support/counseling to encourage progression and utilize natural support networks.
• Conduct psycho-educational and therapy groups focused on social‑emotional skills and life skills.
• Provide wrap‑around case management and coordinate transport or referrals as needed.
