Job summary

Conscious Healing Inc. is seeking a Counselor/Therapist to provide behavioral health and substance use disorder counseling within a trauma-sensitive treatment model. You will support participant care through individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and timely clinical documentation.

The Counselor/Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help participants stabilize, build insight, regulate emotions, reduce relapse risk, and move toward long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field from an accredited program.
• Virginia credentialing or registration in good standing (CSAC, Resident in Counseling, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSATP).
• Compliance with Virginia Board requirements, supervision, credentialing and ethics.
• Experience in behavioral health, SUD treatment, case coordination or group facilitation preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-first care, confidentiality, DBHDS standards and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, participant engagement and judgment.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services (individual, group, and family as appropriate).
• Deliver trauma-first, clinically appropriate interventions for stabilization and recovery.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups in PHP, IOP, OP, and related programs.
• Maintain a caseload and support participants based on care level and goals.
• Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries timely.
• Document services with accuracy and alignment to standards and payer requirements.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, relapse risk and safety concerns.
• Participate in supervision, case staffing, and interdisciplinary communication.
