Job summary
Catholic Charities Eastern Washington seeks a Street Outreach Specialist in Spokane to engage unhoused individuals, coordinate with law enforcement and housing partners, and connect clients to stabilization resources. You will work within CHHS and ERP frameworks to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support and action planning.
Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Social Services (or CHW/Peer cert) and at least 3 years in social services, including work with unhoused populations; a
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field, or CHW/Peer cert.
- At least 3 years in social services with 1 year serving unhoused individuals.
- Driver’s License and ability to drive for work.
Responsibilities
- Provide street outreach services to assist individuals in unsheltered situations and encampments.
- Connect clients with Housing Navigation Center, treatment services and other resources.
- Coordinate with ERP to refer to shelter and housing through HMIS.
- Work with SPD and HOT on encampment abatement and outreach requests.
- Maintain trauma-informed advocacy and triage services.
- Build partnerships with local housing, recovery, behavioral health, and medical services.
