Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore’s Villa Maria School seeks a Special Education Teacher (Provisional, I or II) to serve students with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning support needs in a 12‑month non‑public setting. The role involves creating and implementing instructional plans that promote educational progress and social‑emotional development.

Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; licensure eligibility for provisional licensure.
• Master's degree preferred for II level positions.
• Maryland MSDE Special Education licensure required for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Plans, delivers, and adapts trauma-informed instruction aligned with IEPs and goals.
• Develops lesson plans, accommodations, and modifications to promote progress.
• Assesses progress using data and updates IEP decisions accordingly.
• Collaborates with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to implement plans.
• Maintains accurate records, including IEPs, progress notes, and reports.
