Job summary

Bayaud Works in Denver, CO is hiring a Shelter Attendant to support the Tamarac Family Non-Congregate Shelter's 24/7 operations. You will provide direct guest assistance, front desk coverage, site monitoring, and documentation in alignment with shelter policies and HOST contract expectations.

The role requires trauma-informed, low-barrier, housing-focused service, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shelter, housing, or frontline service preferred.
• Trauma-informed care and de-escalation training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, partners, volunteers, and visitors professionally.
• Maintain on-site counts and logs for residents, staff, and guests.
• Respond to emergencies per shelter protocols and supervision.
• Support meal service and front desk operations.
• Protect guest confidentiality and document appropriately.
