Job summary

Bayaud Works is seeking a full-time Case Manager for the Tamarac Family Shelter in Denver, Colorado. The role focuses on trauma-informed, housing-focused case management for families in non-congregate shelter settings.

You will identify housing barriers, develop stability plans, coordinate wraparound services, and connect families to resources to support long-term stability and self-sufficiency. The position requires strong documentation, collaboration with partners, and adherence to Housing

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, housing navigation, or human services.
  • Experience (1 year) with HMIS or similar data systems preferred.
  • Experience (1 year) working with families experiencing homelessness preferred.

Our Temporary Staffing Service works with Federal, State, City, County, and private employers to provide high-quality staffing and operations support. Department: Bayaud Works, LLC - Tamarac Family Shelter

Reports To: Lead Case Manager

Location: Tamarac Family Non-Congregate Shelter

Schedule: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Post Date: July 23, 2026 - July 30, 2027

Position Summary

The Case Manager provides trauma-informed, housing-focused case management to families residing at the Tamarac Family Emergency Non-Congregate Shelter. This role supports residents in identifying housing barriers, developing individualized stability plans, engaging in wraparound services, and connecting to resources that promote long-term housing stability, income growth, health, safety, and self-sufficiency. The Case Manager maintains accurate documentation, collaborates with internal and external partners, and helps ensure services align with Housing First, HOST Shelter Standards, and Bayaud Works' commitment to dignity, equity, and resident-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide housing-focused case management services, including intake, assessment, service planning, referrals, follow-up, and stabilization support.
  • Assess resident strengths, housing barriers, service needs, income needs, benefits eligibility, and other factors impacting stability.
  • Develop and update individualized housing stability and employment plans with clear goals, action steps, timelines, and measurable progress.
  • Support residents with housing navigation, applications, vital documentation (immigration documentation), landlord communication, benefits, employment resources, health care connections, and other community-based supports.
  • Use trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and Housing First practices to promote dignity, autonomy, and resident engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in HMIS, OneHome/Community Queue, case files, service trackers, and other required systems in alignment with HOST and program standards.
  • Participate in case conferencing, team meetings, peer learning, and coordinated service planning with shelter staff and community partners.
  • Drive/transport clients to facilities and other required events as needed.
  • Advocate with landlords, housing providers, service agencies, schools, school enrollment, DPS, and other partners while supporting residents in building self-advocacy skills.
  • Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, harm reduction, and creative problem-solving in accordance with program procedures.
  • Assist with program compliance, monitoring, reporting, data quality, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Follow all shelter standards, grievance procedures, confidentiality requirements, professional boundaries, safety protocols, and assigned training expectations.
  • Must complete all Mandatory Trainings required by position.
  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 30 households or fewer while providing consistent engagement and individualized support.
  • Obtaining a minimum of 75 touch points per month, with a goal of 4 touch points per household each month.
  • Must follow expectations of hitting HOST standards of metric goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Case Manager, Program Manager, or designated leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of housing systems, family homelessness, and supportive services offered in the Denver Metro area. Research skills and networking will be vital to this skill.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide trauma-informed, equitable, and culturally responsive services.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with residents, landlords, and community service providers.

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 2 years - experience in case management, housing navigation, or human services.
  • Experience (1 year) with HMIS or similar data systems preferred.
  • Experience (1 year) working with families experiencing homelessness preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Must be able to pass a background check for work with families and vulnerable populations.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.

  • This position is primarily office-basedandrequiresfrequent walking,sitting,standing,bending, andlifting upto 45lbs.
