Mercy House is seeking a Shelter Specialist in Oxnard, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the Emergency Shelter Program with shifts Tue–Fri, 7:00 am–3:00 pm.

Responsibilities include shelter setup, facility upkeep, and neighborhood patrols, with a focus on crisis intervention and trauma-informed service delivery. Responsibilities also cover helping guests move toward housing, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining orderly records and signage.

Qualifications

• Experience providing crisis intervention in shelter or similar settings.
• Trauma-informed approach to service delivery is essential.
• Fluency or strong ability in Spanish is highly valued.
