Job summary

Child & Family Service in Honolulu, HI seeks a Part-Time Shelter Services Advocate to ensure basic needs and safety for shelter participants while delivering trauma-informed support.

Under supervision, you will empower individuals, promote healthy relationships, and help clients heal from trauma. Evening, overnight and weekend coverage is required; a Hawaii driver license may be needed for outreach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to engage, empower, and communicate with survivors from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to work evenings, overnight and weekends.

• Ensure basic needs are met: food, clothing, shelter, safety and support.
