Job summary

Child & Family Service in Ewa Beach, HI seeks a Shelter Services Advocate to promote an empowering environment, ensure basic needs are met, and deliver trauma-informed engagement for participants in the shelter program.

Under the Shelter Manager or Program Supervisor, you will help participants live safely and independently, building healthy relationships to support healing from trauma. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus additional courses or training in related fields.
• Knowledge of basic office routines, bookkeeping or clerical tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote an empowering environment for participants in the shelter.
• Ensure participants' basic needs (food, clothing, shelter) are met and they are safe.
• Provide trauma-informed engagement and services to help participants heal from trauma.
• Work under the supervision of the Shelter Manager or Program Supervisor.
• Build healthy relationships to empower and support participants.
