Job summary

Centerstone seeks a School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison to work at Decherd Elementary and Cowan Elementary in Franklin County, TN. You will partner with teachers to foster trauma-informed, positive learning environments and provide psycho-educational groups for youth at risk, while supporting families through the IEP process and coordination with local behavioral health resources.

The role emphasizes face-to-face collaboration, staff training, and development of universal prevention

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, mental health counseling, social work or related field.
• License-eligible in the respective discipline preferred.
• Clinical internship or practicum experience with behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to create trauma-informed environments.
• Deliver at least one face-to-face training per year on mental health topics to LEA personnel.
• Assist development of school-wide mental health initiatives and prevention strategies.
• Serve as liaison between family and school; support IEP processes as requested.
• Navigate local behavioral health systems and access crisis services as needed.
• Maintain logs and progress documentation for grant and program requirements.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as indicated; develop treatment plans.
