Job summary

Tennessee Voices Inc. is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison to promote student mental health in schools. You will provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, and support teachers with trauma-informed practices in a collaborative, community-driven program.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, referrals, and developing school-wide initiatives, while maintaining compliant documentation and strong partnerships with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred (LCSW, LPC, etc.).
• Minimum two years of experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting, preferably in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and evaluations, and facilitate psychoeducational groups on coping strategies and stress management.
• Offer crisis intervention services and make referrals for additional supports as needed.
• Consult with teachers to create trauma-informed, positive classroom environments.
• Deliver training and education on mental health issues, trauma-informed practices, and de-escalation strategies.
• Assist in developing school-wide mental health initiatives and universal prevention strategies.
• Act as a liaison between schools, families, and community agencies for coordinated care.
• Ensure timely documentation and compliance with state regulations and program standards.
