Job summary

Ava Health is seeking a Residential Therapist to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care in an inpatient setting. The role includes assessments, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support long-term recovery.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology and a valid state license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT). Residential/inpatient experience and strong EMR skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Must hold a valid state license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Residential or inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, using evidence-based modalities tailored to client needs.
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
• Work closely with medical and case management staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups on trauma, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support discharge planning and post-residential treatment transition plans.
