Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services is looking for a Residential Counselor I to support a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based program for children ages 0–12. You will work in a residential setting, helping youth engage in daily activities and services designed for immediate and short‑term placement, with emphasis on building rapport across diverse families.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to Trauma‑Informed Care and Interventions.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and effective, solution‑focused, problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities for youth, including school, appointments, and events.
• Monitor and participate in community service, recreation, family time, and off-ground activities.
• Lead shifts as assigned.
• Safely transport youth to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits.
• Advocate for assigned youth and complete Advocate Reports and required documentation.
