Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. seeks a Residential Counselor to join our social services residential program.

You will work with children aged 0 to 12 who need specialized support as they heal from trauma, building rapport within a diverse community and delivering services in a trauma-informed framework. The role involves coordinating daily activities, supervising youth during school, appointments, and recreation, and safely transporting youth to events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least one year of related experience.
• Must adhere to a Trauma-Informed Care and Interventions model of care.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and solution-focused problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate youth activities including school, appointments, and recreation.
• Monitor and participate in community service, visits, and family time.
• Safely transport youth to activities, appointments, and school.
• Advocate for assigned youth and complete required reports.
