Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. in New Bedford seeks a Residential Counselor II to support children 0-12 in a short-term trauma-informed program. You will build positive rapport, deliver services within trauma-informed frameworks, and coordinate activities, school commitments, and family time on site.

The role emphasizes advocacy, sound judgment, and culturally competent care, with opportunities for growth through ongoing training and leadership development in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least one year of related experience with the population.
• Must adhere to Trauma-Informed Care and Interventions.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and solution-focused problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate youth activities, school appointments, and other scheduled activities daily.
• Monitor and participate in community service, recreation, visits, and family time.
• Lead shifts as assigned.
• Safely transport youth to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits.
• Advocate for assigned youth and complete required reports and documentation.
