Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology hardware and software; training provided as needed.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and 12-step principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient activities and perform safety checks; complete shift documentation.
• Provide direct patient care and use trauma-informed approaches.
• Assist with daily patient schedules and activities.
• Recognize signs of distress and respond to de-escalate when needed.
• Assist with crisis intervention and emergency response procedures.
• Communicate patient concerns to clinical and nursing staff promptly.
• Handle patient belongings processing for admissions and after visits.
• Support preparation for discharge and patient orientation as applicable.
• Ensure confidentiality with patients and other contacts.
• Demonstrate professional customer relations and teamwork.
