Job description

Salary: $18/hr
Schedule: 11p-730a (including every other weekend)

Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction? As a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing direct support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders.

What You'll Do

• Monitor patient activities, provides safety checks throughout shift, completes documentation to include but not limited to, rounds sheet, End of Shift reports; records patient behavior.
• Participate in direct patient care including ensuring patient safety, interacting therapeutically. Assists in the activities of patients daily schedule.
• Partner with Clinical staff to conduct a welcoming New Patient Orientation
• Aid and instruct patients in facilitation and presentation of the RCA Clinical Curriculum with corresponding notes in medical records system.
• Understand the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to the recovery process.

A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
