Job summary

GAAMHA is seeking a dedicated Recovery Specialist to support residents at Sunrise Ridge, a trauma-informed recovery home for women with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The role emphasizes safety, structure, and empowerment, with emphasis on guiding residents toward self-sufficiency and life skills.

You will provide oversight of medications, lead groups, conduct wellness checks, and document care while advocating for residents’ needs within the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential treatment or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Strong communication and compassion to support residents.
• Must have at least one year of sobriety if you have lived experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents as needed.
• Must pass CORI and Child Welfare background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication adherence and document medication administration.
• Lead recovery-focused group discussions and track resident progress.
• Conduct wellness checks and headcounts to maintain safety.
• Complete shift notes and incident reports for continuity of care.
• Accompany residents to appointments and advocate for their needs.
