Job summary

GAAMHA’s Sunrise Ridge is seeking a Recovery Specialist to support women in recovery with trauma-informed care. You’ll guide residents through routines, provide medication oversight, and promote safety in a structured environment.

You will lead recovery groups, document progress, transport residents as needed, and advocate for their needs within the community, including pregnant and postpartum residents. This role requires empathy, reliability, and compliance with all reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential treatment, peer recovery coaching, or behavioral health settings.
• One year of continuous sobriety if you have lived experience.
• Tech-savvy with MS Office and web-based documentation such as Kipu.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents.
• Must pass CORI and Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support residents' routines and participate in recovery-based programming.
• Oversee medication adherence and maintain accurate logs.
• Lead recovery-focused group discussions and document participation.
• Conduct regular wellness and safety checks to maintain a secure environment.
• Complete shift notes, medication logs, and incident reports; communicate during handoffs.
• Provide transportation and advocacy for residents to appointments and engagements.
• Foster a trauma-informed, inclusive setting for residents, including pregnant/postpartum.
• Ensure mandated reporting compliance for safety concerns.
• Represent Sunrise Ridge and GAAMHA with professionalism in the community.
