GAAMHA’s Sunrise Ridge in Massachusetts seeks a dedicated Recovery Specialist to support women in recovery within a structured, trauma-informed home. You will guide residents, supervise medications, and help them develop essential life skills while ensuring safety and compliance across shifts.

The role focuses on building a supportive environment, coordinating transportation and advocacy, and fostering inclusivity for pregnant and postpartum residents.

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential treatment, peer recovery coaching, or behavioral health settings.
  • If you have lived experience with substance use disorder, at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.
  • Valid driver’s license to transport residents as needed.
  • Must pass CORI and Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in following their schedules and participating in recovery programming.
  • Oversee medication adherence and document administration and disposal of discontinued meds.
  • Lead recovery-focused group discussions and document participation and progress.
  • Perform regular headcounts and wellness checks to maintain a safe environment.
  • Complete shift notes, medication logs, and incident reports; communicate during staff changes.
  • Accompany residents to appointments, court hearings, and other engagements; advocate for their needs.
