Job summary

Ascension Recovery Services seeks a Program Supervisor to lead a Recovery Support Services team in a residential SUD facility. You will supervise, train, and coordinate daily operations while ensuring safe, trauma‑informed client care and continuity of services.

You will partner with nursing, clinical, and administrative staff, manage staffing, oversee onboarding, and support clinical processes, documentation, and daily routines.

Qualifications

• Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding new staff.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license; must meet state licensing requirements and have an insurable driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services, behavioral health, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of 12‑Step programming and/or co‑occurring disorders preferred.
• Certification as a PRSS preferred.
• Medication Technician/Medication Aide state certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Recovery Support Specialists; ensure monthly supervision and annual performance review requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams for integrated, client-centered care.
• Develop RSS staffing schedule; ensure coverage and align with team competencies.
• Lead orientation and onboarding for RSS staff within 60 days.
• Develop and facilitate training materials, in-service education, and ongoing skill development for RSS team.
• Monitor adherence to facility policies, safety protocols, and therapeutic best practices.
• Conduct client orientations within 48 hours of admission; cover program rules and supports.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and life skills groups to support recovery.
• Support clinical processes including intake, UA, transportation, and recreational programming.
• Monitor and de-escalate behavioral issues with trauma-informed approaches.
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, progress, and shift activities.
• Ensure safe oversight of daily routines including housekeeping, meals, and medication lines.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
