Job summary

The Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) within the ODHS White City office is seeking an Eligibility Worker who can interview applicants to determine eligibility for medical, food, cash and childcare benefits. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered service delivery and accurate, timely determinations.

You will work in-office, supporting residents of Oregon, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience at Human Services Specialist 1 level (OR)
• 2 years of experience with the public
• Associate degree with 6 months public service experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants in-person or by phone to determine eligibility for benefits.
• Perform eligibility determinations, redeterminations, and reviews.
• Assist customers in person and by phone regarding benefits.
• Communicate eligibility decisions clearly to applicants.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centered services.
