Job summary

The State of Oregon's Department of Human Services is seeking a Benefit Eligibility Worker (Public Benefits Specialist) to determine eligibility, conduct interviews, and communicate decisions. This in-person role supports diverse communities and advances equity through trauma-informed service delivery.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm PT, with occasional overtime. English/Spanish bilinguals are preferred. Applicants should detail how they meet min qualifications in their materials.

Responsibilities

• Communicate eligibility decisions to applicants.
• Provide person-centered, trauma-informed services.
• Ensure accurate, timely determinations across the state.
