Valley Youth House is seeking a Full-Time Resident Advisor in Lancaster County. You will supervise assigned clients during evenings, overnights, and weekends, engaging them in activities and supporting life skills.

You’ll implement plans using positive youth development, trauma-informed approaches, and culturally aware practices, while ensuring safety, compliance, and ongoing trainings. Benefits include PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older with the ability to align with independent living goals.
• High school diploma or GED required; one year of experience with adolescents preferred.
• Sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development and behavior.
• Strong organizational skills; must manage multiple tasks.
• Creative, flexible team player; able to work with diverse groups.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle insurance and inspection for daily client transport.
• Passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance to operate agency vehicles.
• Navigation of stairs is preferred for some locations.
• Proficiency in Windows; familiarity with Google Suite.
• No prohibited criminal or child abuse offenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to clients during shifts, evenings, overnights, and weekends; engage clients and support life skills.
• Use positive youth development and trauma-informed approaches to implement individual plans.
• Oversee site maintenance and cleanliness; ensure compliance and submit paperwork.
• Report crises and incidents per regulations; develop preliminary safety plans.
• Attend trainings and meet required hours annually.
