Job summary

River Valley Counseling Center, Inc. is seeking Outpatient Clinicians to provide trauma-informed mental health assessment and therapy for individuals, families, and couples in a community-focused setting.

You will develop and adjust treatment plans, document diligently, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. The role emphasizes culturally responsive, strengths-based care, crisis intervention, and community referrals, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services, counseling, clinical psychology or social work
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and crisis intervention skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, computer skills, and knowledge of legal/ethical issues

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnose mental health disorders; develop personalized treatment plans
• Provide ongoing therapy for individuals, families and/or couples; adjust plans as needed
• Maintain documentation and client records; ensure HIPAA compliance
• Coordinate referrals, outreach, advocacy, or case consultations as needed
• Report abuse/neglect under Massachusetts law
• Participate in multidisciplinary team conferences; facilitate family sessions when indicated
• Maintain knowledge of community services and resources
