Job summary

UPMC Child Advocacy Center of Central PA is seeking a Mental Health Services Coordinator to support children and families dealing with concerns of child abuse. You will provide advocacy, resource coordination, and trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary CAC team.

The role requires delivering compassionate, individualized services, obtaining histories, and connecting families to community mental health resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy and resource coordination services to children and families when concerns of child abuse are identified.
• Obtain social and mental health histories from children and caregivers.
• Conduct trauma assessments with children and caretakers to identify signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress.
• Connect families with appropriate community and mental health resources, including trauma-focused treatment services.
• Collaborate closely with forensic interviewers, medical providers, therapists, and other CAC team members.
• Support families throughout the CAC process with compassion and professionalism.
• Deliver individualized, trauma-informed care based on family needs and circumstances.
• Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate referrals and follow-up services.
