Job summary

The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Division of Youth Services seeks a qualified Classroom Teacher to educate adjudicated youth in a positive, safe environment aligned with state standards and workforce readiness goals.

You will plan and assess lessons, maintain educational records, collaborate with colleagues, and apply trauma-informed practices to support youth across secondary and postsecondary tracks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field completed.
• Current Colorado teacher license (Initial/Professional) or acceptable substitute licenses.

Responsibilities

• Establishes an effective classroom environment with PBIS and engagement strategies.
• Plans units and daily lessons aligned with state standards and essential skills.
• Uses MTSS data to monitor progress and collaborate with staff.
