Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
• Current, valid Initial or Professional Teacher license issued by the Colorado Department of Education.
• Substitutions: Interim Teacher license, Temporary Educator Eligibility Authorization, or substitutions by CCSS for vocational credential as applicable.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• State of Colorado residency at time of application and throughout employment; valid Colorado driver's license; travel to training events in Denver area and other facilities.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains an appropriate classroom setting with PBIS and engagement strategies tailored to student needs.
• Assesses students using multiple assessment methods and collects evidence of learning.
• Designs unit and daily lesson plans aligned with state standards and implements various assessment tools.
• Ensures safety and security of the school and facility, follows policy and procedures, and uses trauma-informed practices.
