Job summary

Thundermist Health Center in West Warwick, RI, seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician to integrate primary care with behavioral health for adults, with children/youth as needed. You’ll provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive services, respond to warm hand-offs, and conduct screenings within a patient-centered medical home.

You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, partner with psychiatric prescribers, and ensure documentation and compliance in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• RI licensure as LCSW/LICSW/LMHC/LMHC-A/LMFT or comparable out-of-state license with RI licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of DSM-5-TR/ICD-10, psychotherapy methods, and treatment planning.
• Ability to assess emergencies and determine levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed behavioral health services to adults; see children/adolescents as needed.
• Respond to same-day behavioral health consultations and triage.
• Conduct brief screenings to assess needs; deliver individual, group, and family therapy.
• Collaborate with psychiatric prescribers on medication management alongside therapy.
• Document in EHR (eClinicalWorks) and ensure HIPAA/48 CFR compliance.
