Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a security-focused professional to monitor housing program activities in Murfreesboro, TN. You will enforce rules, supervise residents, and ensure safety by managing access and watching cameras and alarms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months public-facing security experience preferred.
• Experience in social services or security environments is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client behavior to ensure program and facility rules are followed.
• Direct clients in trauma-informed ways to stay in the program and facility.
• Monitor telephones, security cameras, and fire alarm systems; notify authorities when needed.
• Lock/unlock doors and secure entrances after business hours.
• Report safety concerns and potential contraband; maintain required logs and reports.
• Respond to emergencies and aid residents until help arrives.
• Distribute to-go meals to residents arriving late from work.
• Answer calls, take messages, and log all communications.
